Lavasa Hill City is one of the most ambitious mammoth residential and commercial project in the foot hill of Pune in the Mose valley of the Western Ghats. Since independence this is India’s first hill station designed and developed by Hindustan Construction Company  a unit of private company of Ajit Gulabchand.

Lavasa project consist of premium residential complexes, health & wellness center, malls, schools, colleges, sports facility, herb plantation and theme park under a single township. Lavasa will include four large towns and one low-cost town built on seven hills to accommodate a population of 200,000 when fully built.

The project is located in hilly terrain prone to incessant rains and cold weather conditions. Certain Teed Roofing Shingles is an ideal choice under these conditions in addition to providing excellent aesthetic appeal. The client engaged M/s Hafeez Contractor, PK Das, Nitin Purekar, Somiya & Kriappa, as Architect. Shingles application, waterproofing taken up before monsoon to facilitate interior works in rainy days.

Client selected Certain Teed Roofing Shingles for this project of the area exceeding 3.5 Lakh sq ft. Certain Teed Roofing Shingles is an ideal choice to sustain cold and rain conditions in addition to providing excellent Aesthetic appeal.

Client opted Firehalt product as shingles. Firehalt shingles are built with the industry’s toughest fiber glass mat base, and the strict dimensional tolerance assures consistency. Ceramic-coated mineral granules are tightly embedded in carefully refined, water-resistant asphalt. Two pieces of the shingle are firmly laminated together in a special tough asphalt cement. All Firehalt shingles have self sealing adhesive strips and this technical quality liked by the client due to savings on additional waterproofing expense. Complex granule color blends and subtle shadow lines produce a distinctive color selection. Clint gone for Terracotta shade. Terracotta is a shade of Red that is 60% saturated and 89% bright.

Firehalt shingles provides complete peace of mind to client as it carry 25 yrs limited warranty against manufacturing defects. These singles do not require maintenance when installed according to manufacturer’s application instructions.

Lavasa project is still ongoing and likely to be completed only by 2020. Out of first two township Dasve and Mugaon are almost complete and is giving the classic look of a beautiful residential layout.
